PRIVACY POLICY 

This page describes how to manage the website of A.I.G. with reference to the processing of personal data of users who consult it.

This is an information note in accordance with the art. 13 of the Legislative Decree n. 196/03 (hereinafter the Privacy Code) for users, which are provided via Internet.

The information is not valid for other websites that may be consulted through our links, of which A.I.G. is in no way responsible.

The information is also based on the Recommendation n. 2/2001 that the European Authorities for the protection of personal data gathered in the group established by the art. 29 of the directive n. 95/46 / EC, adopted on May 17, 2001 to identify minimum requirements for the collection of personal data online: methods, timing and nature of the information that the data controllers must provide to users when they connect to web pages.

The Data Controller

The Owner of the processing of personal data, related to identified or identifiable persons treated as a result of consulting our site, is the Italian “Associazione Italiana Alberghi per la Gioventù” with its registered office in Rome- Viale Giuseppe Mazzini n. 88 - Tel. 0698261462; Fax 06 94356149.

Place and purpose of data processing

The data handling connected to the web services of this site are made to allow users to subscribe, request information and book our facilities. The data handling will be carried out at the headquarters of the Italian Association for Youth, as the holder of the treatment, and the International Federation of Youth Hostels - Hostelling International, as responsible for managing reservations. The data is handled only by employees and partners of the company, in charge of processing, as well as by any persons in charge of occasional maintenance operations.

The Association will communicate to third parties’ personal data collected only for purposes directly related to the services requested and in the event that this is required by law.

No data deriving from a web service is distributed.

Types of data processed

Navigation data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols.

This information is not collected to be associated with identified interested parties, but for their nature could allow users to be identified, through processing and association with data held by third parties.

This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the site, the addresses in the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error ..) and other parameters related to the operating system and the user's computer environment.

These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its functioning correctly and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the site: except for this eventuality, at present the data on web contacts is not held for more than seven days.

Data provided voluntarily by users

On our site, you have the possibility to enter data, to receive newsletters and information, to subscribe to the Association and to book the services offered by the Association. To take advantage of this possibility you will necessarily have to provide some personal data requested by the site's screens.

Cookies

Cookies means a textual element that is inserted into the hard disk of a computer only after authorization. Cookies have the function to streamline the analysis of web traffic or to indicate when a specific site is visited and allow web applications to send information to individual users.

No user data is acquired by the site in this regard.

We do not use cookies to transmit personal information, we do not use c.d. persistent cookies of any kind, or systems for tracking users.

Optional provision of data

Apart from that specified for navigation data, the user is free to provide personal data contained in the request forms to the Owner or indicated in the "Contact" section.

Failure to provide such data may make impossible to obtain what has been requested.

Data processing methods

Personal data is processed with automated tools, for the time necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected.

Specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorized access.

Rights of the interested parties
